What should Ukraine do now? To fight or not to beat Russia? X is coming

What to do in the face of Russian aggression in the Crimea and the likely assault on the eastern and southern regions of the country? - this question is increasingly heard in Ukraine. Recognition for the current method of behavior (non-use of weapons and passive resistance) and admiration for soldiers in the Crimea are increasingly mixed with calls for active resistance. The hour is coming - the moment when Russia will stop pretending that it is not its army that occupied the peninsula, and will act as its host. Today, the Russian State Duma is to adopt a resolution on the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation. On Sunday, there will be a referendum, but this is only a farce. Then the Kremlin will probably state that the Ukrainian army is an occupation army and should leave Crimea. If they do not, they will be removed by force.

Ukrainian soldiers will defend "to the last blood" ... or command them to surrender. In the face of such an alternative, three possible ways of acting are formulated: * withdrawal of soldiers now, * armed resistance with the support of branches outside the peninsula, * continuation of the existing strategy. Proponents of the first variant will convince you that you should withdraw in organized order and without any losses. The war that Putin denounced Ukraine does not end in the Crimea. The goal of the Russian president is to take control of the entire country or take over its east and south. And to defend this aggression one should prepare the state and the army. Today Crimea is lost to Ukraine. Proponents of this variant recall the example of the former fleet commander who betrayed the day after receiving the nomination, and yesterday's betrayal of the commander of the motorized battalion from Bachczysaraju. "If the soldiers do not see a clear strategy of the supreme command, there will be more such examples" - they argue. Can you look passively at bandits? Proponents of the second approach claim that Ukraine has enough strength to resist Russian aggression. In the Crimea, 5-6 thousand are stationed. well-trained soldiers can be helped by tens of thousands from continental Ukraine. And the Kremlin refrained from its soldiers, claiming that they were self-defense troops of the Russian population.

"You can not watch passively, as armed bandits attack and occupy our units, and soldiers are forbidden to use weapons. We have to wait for everyone to cut off electricity and water and deprive them of their food?" - civilians ask and they were military.

They accuse the Ministry of National Defense of having no action and focusing on the division of positions. For now, they are not too numerous, but there is "information resistance" behind them - an informal structure dealing with monitoring the situation in the Crimea and the army. The government and the Ministry of defense, which implement the third option, do not reveal plans. Their strategy can only be reproduced based on the steps taken. We know, therefore, that in the face of Russian aggression, detailed rules of conduct were developed: non-use of force; defense of units, staffs and ships; hiding weapons and ammunition. All this to avoid mistakes made in 2008 by Georgia, which let itself be provoked to attack the Russian army and in the end lost the war. This strategy was revealed in one of the television interviews Admiral Ihor Kabanenko, until September last year. First Deputy Chief of General Staff. Thanks to the implementation of this strategy in the Crimea, no one died and the Ukrainian army could not be provoked. This disrupted Putin's plans, which in an interviewed Ukrainian interview with the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet expressed surprise with the attitude of the Ukrainians and demanded decisive action. After he quickly mastered Crimea, he planned to invade south and east of Ukraine. There are many indications that the Americans helped in developing the Ukrainian strategy, because their intelligence had already known a week ago that Putin would invade the Crimea. The US is closely monitoring developments, sharing intelligence with the Ukrainians, which the American secretary of defense said a few days ago. In Ukraine, mobilization continues, troop movements are underway On Sunday, in turn, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the states - guarantors of the security and territorial integrity of Ukraine (USA and Great Britain) would do "everything possible and impossible" for Crimea to remain within Ukraine.

On Wednesday, Yatsenyuk in the White House will be received by Barack Obama. The Americans are constantly encouraging the Ukrainian army to persevere in "admirable" abstinence. In addition to a few desertions, Ukrainian officers and soldiers remained calm and loyal to the country. They supported their families, many residents of Crimea and other regions of Ukraine. Moral and material help for soldiers was organized via the Internet. The government increased its resources to supply the army. Military equipment has been provided with equipment for recording and broadcasting events, because one of the forms of Ukrainian resistance is documenting everything in the hope that it will serve to judge Russian aggression and restore the power of Kiev over Kry
