We are part of the "International Staff for Aid to Ukrainians" - an organization that operates in 75 countries.

We have been operating since 2004! We know what true Polish-Ukrainian friendship is.

The war in Ukraine has been going on for over three months. Since its outbreak on February 24, over 300 volunteers have passed through the TPU structures, and our organization has carried out hundreds of aid actions, organizing direct activities both in Ukraine and Poland.

We have placed thousands of Ukrainian families in Polish homes. We have redirected around 200 families to homes all over Europe. We are currently working on programs enabling Ukrainian mothers with children to live in.

Together with volunteers and other aid groups, we have organized hundreds of humanitarian convoys with medicines, food, clothes, medical equipment. We constantly and strongly support medical services, supplying them with cars for transporting the wounded, sick, etc. We have built an ambulance on a 4x4 chassis, which we transport and hand over to the services medical services operating in special, endangered zones subject to hostilities. We have already prepared 5 ambulances in response to direct requests from the Ukrainian MOZ and military units.

From the beginning of the war, our convoys consisted of full to the brim coaches, buses and trucks. We took the necessary things as we could, so that they only reached those in need. We work with amazing people and drivers for special tasks.

We are currently working on structured deliveries of medical and food aid.

For over 100 days of cruel war, we have been supporting Ukrainian children from three orphanages evacuated from the Khmelnytsky and Vinnytsia regions. 230 children in Kashubia and 68 children in Poręba Wielka are under our care. We are in constant contact with the directors of the centers where the children and their guardians are located. We bring items dedicated to their needs, teaching aids and books in Ukrainian. We support the care system for them and we look for solutions that appear on a regular basis. We visit them, we invite them to Warsaw for events specially organized for them, such as the recent Children's Day (https://www.facebook.com/T TowarzystwoPrzystaciolUkrainy) or a trip to the capital and a performance at the National Theater.

We are currently implementing a large, systemic educational project in cooperation with the Little Academy of Sciences in Ukraine, under the patronage of the Ministry of Science of Ukraine and the most important scientific and educational Ukrainian entities (including the Science Museum in Lviv, Kiev).

We develop a strategy for the education system, psychological support and adaptation programs, which turns out to be quite a challenge. The situation is serious, we are at a time when it is difficult to assess how long this devastating war will last, how long Ukrainian children will have to stay in Poland and how far the systemic educational aid is to be.

We know one thing: the development of support and adaptation programs is the greatest necessity today.

During these 3 months of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, we have established and are still establishing cooperation with great Partners, thanks to whom we constantly organize help for children and adults, as well as cultural, sports, educational and humanitarian events. Taking advantage of the vast experience of the last 100 days of the war, we are constantly improving our operations and flexibly following the war situation and effectively delivering aid.

Due to our extensive capabilities, reliable contacts and trusted administrative relations in Ukraine and Poland necessary during the war, we can also provide assistance to other foundations from around the world that are looking for substantive, administrative, logistic and legal support in our organization.

From the beginning of the war, our reliable partner, helping us to pro bono efficiently act in accordance with the letter of the law, professionally respond to all threats and create know-how for all other foundations cooperating with us and individual refugee families is the best law firm Dubois i Wspólnicy in Poland.

More and more institutions from all over the world express their willingness to be our partners in humanitarian activities as well as in systemic and long-term projects.

We are very grateful to all the people who write to us on behalf of the world's great institutions. We undertake many common challenges, we approach each cooperation very carefully, we catch all signs of fraud and fraud, which are also the domain of wartime.

At the same time, it touches us immensely and we are glad that our help is becoming even more profound. Every day we bring more and more good, which is necessary as a strong counterbalance to the atrocities of war and genocide that the Russian state is using against our Ukrainian Sisters and Brothers.

Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine

We are pleased to announce that the next humanitarian transport is almost ready. We collected over 750kg of new and used children's clothing from generous and kind people in Switzerland. There is also big amount of toys which will be distributed to the kids at orphanages in Mariupol, Sieverodonetsk and families in need on the front line.

Next transport from Switzerland on the way to Ukraine

In March 2019, TPU volunteers visited orphanage "Sunny"  in Zaporozhye. At the same time, this unit provides care, shelter and treatment for around 200 children aged 1 month to 7 years. Volunteers donated humanitarian aid: diapers, toys, clothing and fruits.

TPU visits Orphanage "Sunshine" in Zaporizhia

Friends of Ukraine Society with association of "Mis", we got to visit Kindergarten in Rokitno and we successfully brought smiles on innocent children living in adverse conditions.  Surely, it was an amazing experience.

**We stopped next at "Republika Pelgrim", which is an orphanage in Mariupol. The visit at orphanage is one of the most incredible experience of my life, the children living in the orphanage has literally nothing, but despite lack of everything kids enthusiasm doesn't let it affect the positivistic inside them, the positivity of living in any condition.** I wasn't having any first-hand experience of deprivation among children, i felt they deserve love &amp; affection, attention, better living conditions and so many other things. But despite all these, they have known to overcome their fear and they have adjusted in these uncertain living conditions, personally it was so inspiring for me to see happy and cheerful, they have learnt to live even after losing parents at very young age.

In this fast pace life, entire world has forgotten about the war in Eastern Ukraine, while hundreds of thousands of children has paid the highest price for this situation.

The children living close to front line suffer from chronic anxiety and uncertainty related to related to shooting, hostilities, the danger of landmines and unexploded ordnance. More than 1 million children are suffering from this ongoing war. The consequences are very sorrow for them, leaving their homes. friends and schools are some to mention. The main problem is the poverty, undernourishment, no clothes to cover body and no shoes to protect their feet.

These children want peace and a world where they can play &amp; study without the fear of death, which is the biggest dream for all of them.

A visit to the Pilgrim Republic in Mariupol (February 2019)

Berdianske- Szyrokino, we had very terrible experience, as we saw the buildings where bombs were dropped literally, we have also pictured the terrifying scenes of houses and school buildings which were bombed at every corner.  But what amazed me that people are still living here, which is very heart-whelming as it reflects the love of people towards their home and land, they have chosen to live and die on their own land. People are making living in tougher times; fishing community is extracting sea resources from the sea which is full of sea mines.

The kids are amazing with innovative ideas, they use empty bullet cartridges and with their pure intentions, they put flowers in these bullets, this is very colourful gesture, which reflects how badly these children want peace. I was very much touched with this idea and the kids gifted me one of their lovely creation.
